Love Your Looks 2nd

Love You Looks was very unlucky in her race at Carlisle yesterday evening. With the quick ground the jockeys went a steady gallop which didn't suit our filly. She made progress up the straight but just could not quite get to the winner in time and was beaten a head. She really should have got the hat-trick but that's racing and we shall wait for her to recover before deciding on her next outing.

Benandonner 1st

Benandonner recorded his second victory in a week by winning at Carlisle yesterday. The photograph above shows him in the winning enclosure with Laura and Julie Stitch (friends from the Lake District) and Heidi Cullinan.
The ground was plenty quick enough at Carlisle and as such they didn't go a gallop early on in the race. He was blocked in for a while but Robert Winston got him out early enough for him to battle and get his head in front with a few strides to go. We will look for similar opportunities for him in the next few weeks.

Ducal 2nd

Ducal ran an excellent race at Kempton yesterday. From a poor draw he quickly gained a handy position just behind the leaders. He was travelling best of all off a strong pace and made his way for home at the furlong marker. However, in the final 25yds he paid the price of being up there all the way and he was "done" on the line. We were very pleased with his effort and hopefully we can find a race for him to win!

Benandonner a winner

Benandonner a Winner
Benandonner won at Leicester tonight to land his ninth career win. He was well in at the weights and won like a 1-5 shot should win. Ryan Moore was always travelling easily behind the front markers and eased Don out at the 2 furlong marker to win by 6 lengths.
We will see how he comes out of the race and look for another opportunity in 2-3 weeks time.

Lutine Bell 4th

Lutine Bell came 4th in the 6f sprint at Newbury on Saturday. Having fluffed the start (not for the first time!) he gave the field 3 lengths but quickly got into contention. However, he wasn't able to pick up on the ground but kept going to hold onto 4th position.
This was a good display on his first outing and we will see how he comes out of the race before deciding on his next race.

Love Your Looks A Winner

Love Your Looks recorded her third win of her career tonight. She ran out a 5 length winner of the fillies handicap at Kempton under Tony Culhane. She is a big filly and we have been patient with her. We shall give her time to get over the race and then look for another race once the handicapper has reassessed her.
The photo shows Heidi who looks after the horse, and rides her, and her breeders Susan and Thorsten Feddern.
