LILY ASH - WINS at Great Yarmouth

Lily Ash recorded the 3rd win of her career with a gutsy display at Great Yarmouth yesterday. We were stepping the filly up in trip as she looked as though she needed further despite winning over a mile previously. We knew she would keep battling and so it proved yesterday as she looked beaten in the final furlong but under a strong drive by her jockey, Rossa Ryan, she got up to win by a length. She is a very game filly and although it was only a 0-55 race it gave the whole team a lot of pleasure. If a horse has a willingness to win we can normally find a rece for it but if they do not want to win then it is a very frustrating game for all. We would rather have horse like Lily Ash than the "morning glories" which are good at home but don't have that winning instinct on the track.
The photos  shows delighted connections with from left to right Ann and Pter Graham, Denise Tibbett, Kumbh Singh (Lily's regular rider) and jockey, Rossa Ryan.
