The Week Ahead

We have Murrumbidgee and Sweet Gale entered for Nottingham and Kempton respectively on wednesday. Both are in great nick and hopefully they can open our account for the year. We have been knocking on the door many times and with a strike rate of over 50% in the first four the good thing is the horses are running well. However, there is nothing like a winner so fingers crosssed for wednesday!!!

RECENT RESULTS W/E 30th May

Ross Moor ran another good race in the Lady Amateur Riders contest at Haydock. Tapped for a bit of toe early in the straight the two in front got first run on him and although he stayed on the winning post came too soon for him.
Rock Anthem again ran a good race for us on Saturday in another Lady Amateur riders race coming fourth. Although he has been 2nd on four occassions this year he is a genuine horse and always seems to find one too good or too well handicapped!

RECENT RESULTS

Rock Anthem ran a cracking race at Bath coming second just failing to win by 1/4L. The horse is so genuine but always seams to come up against a good one. On this day it was Full Victory who was very well fancied!!
Murrumbidgee ran another fine race on 19th May to come fourth at Yarmouth. The winner looked well handicapped and has since won again.
Ross Moor came agonisingly close to winning at Lingfield on 20th May. He took a little time to get going up the straight and failed by 1/2 length to get his head in front.
The handicappers raised Ross Moor and Rock Anthem 2lbs and 3lbs respectively. The latter looked a bit harsh as the winner was raised 4lbs.

Results 18th May

ROCK ANTHEM came second at Bath running another honest race and recording his fourth second of the year. Unfortunately he was beaten by a well handicapped horse. Hopefully the handicapper will not be harsh and he can go close again.

It's been a frustrating week with a number of horses declared to run but didn't either due to the quick ground or minor problems. However, with the rain overnight and that forecast for the next few days we are hopeful of returning to the racecourse next week!!!
