WHISPERED KISS- WINS at Lingfield

Whispered Kiss returned the patience shown by her Owner/Breeders by winning first time out in the new season at Lingfield yesterday. She is a big filly who, like her dam, has taken time to mature and strenghten up. However, she has wintered very well and she was a stronger filly going into the race.
She was always on the front end and, under an excellent ride by Shane Kelly, once in the straight she galloped on strongly to repel the rest of the field.
The owners/breeders have given us a free rein from day one to train the filly as we see fit and we have always said she was likely to be like her dam, Desert Kiss, who didn't win a rqce until she was a 4yo and who progressed through that season. We are hopeful she can emulate her dam but time will tell!
The photo shows winning owner/breeder connections with from left to right Jackie, Bob, Tim (slightly obscured behind me), Kumbh Singh, Mike and Cilla.
A word of praise must go to all the team at home but especially Kumbh Singh who is her regular rider and who has always had a lot of faith in the filly. He has nurtured her over the past year and he was thrilled to see her in the Winner's Enclosure.
