KODIAC EXPRESS - Another 2nd at Chelmsford

Kodiac Express ran another fine race at Chelmsford last Thursday. Unfortunately she was no match for the winner who had a few pounds in hand on official ratings. However, our game filly gave owners another exciting day at the racetrack and recorded her second 2nd placed position for this year from her two races.

We have had some excitement with "Kodi" who picked up a Book 1 Bonus of £25k last year and she has retained her enthusiasm for racing in 2018.

MAGICINTHEMAKING 2nd at Chelmsford

Magicinthemaking ran her best race to date to be narrowly denied at Chelmsford last Thursday. Her performance was even better than the bare result as she had to go wide to avoid the kickback which she didn't like and she was also 3lbs out of the handicap. Fran Berry said she was very game and kept on all the way to the line but she was not able to peg back Malaysian Boleh who was game in front.

DESERT FOX -3rd at Chelmsford

On March 10th Desert Fox ran a very respectable 3rd at Chelmsford beaten only a half length. The race was not run to suit "Foxy" who likes a strong pace to aim at but on this occassion there wasn't the requisite pace in the race. As such our jockey, Shane Kelly, was forced to go wide and get a more prominent position and in doing so forfeited ground. He loooked to have every chance at the furlong marker but those earlier exertions told and he didn't have the kick of the eventual winner, Glory Of Paris, and was narrowly beaten.
Foxy will have an easy period until there is a suitable oppportunity on turf where he will appreciate a little cut in the ground.

DESERT FOX - Wins again at Chelmsford

Desert Fox returned to the scene of his maiden win at Chelmsford last night to record another victory. He jumped well from the stalls and was always in a handy position to track the leaders. Turning for home he was sent for home under his Jockey, Shane Kelly, to put the race to bed in good style.
This was his second win at the track from two starts and, all being well, we hope to return to the venue for a race later this month.

Kodiac Express - 2nd at Chelmsford City

Kodi recorded a good performance on her return to action last night at Chelmsford. She had been off the track for 150 days and it showed in the first furlong where she was a little slow to jump from the stalls and didn't get the prominent position we wanted. However, she stayed on strongly in the final furlong but failed to get to the winner. However, it was a good first run of the season and it showed she retains her enthusiasm for the game.
