Kakatosi 4th at Newmarket

Kakatosi once again ran with great credit at Newmarket on Friday evening achieving a 4th position and beaten only 2 lengths. From a relatively slow start Kakatosi traveled well but was not able to pick up the leaders probably not helped by the undulating track rather like Angel Way the day before.
The horse has been a model of consistency and as such he gets little respite from the handicapper. This was his 18th run in succession where he has run from a mark of between 80 and 86 and he has been placed in the first four in 9 of those races which reflects this consistency.
He has also come out of the race well and we will look for more races over either 7f or 8f over the next few weeks.
The photograph shows the good looking Kakatosi with connections, Mr and Mrs Bill Tillett, Heidi who is responsible for him at home and jockey, Pat Dobbs.

Angel Way 4th at Newmarket

Angel Way ran a fine race on her first start of the 2014 turf season. She traveled strongly throughout the contest and at one point she looked as though she may win the race. However, the undulations stunted her big stride and this together with a bump inside the final furlong probably cost her the race as she was only beaten 2 lengths. We were pleased with this effort and she has come out of the race well. We will look for a race for her back on turf in the next few weeks.
The photograph shows Angel Way with David Ellis, her owner, and Heidi Cullinan who looks after the horse at home.
