Ducal - A WINNER

Ducal,
Won his second race for The Icebreakers partnership last night at Kempton. In what looked an open contest Ducal was sent to the front two furlongs from home and battled all the way to the line. We were delighted with the way he battled for fully two furlongs. We will see how he comes out of the race and then look for another race for Hom either back at Kempton or on the turf.
The photo shows Ducal in the winners enclosure with (from left to right) Kathy, Andrea, Barbara, Sheila, Hugo (Ducal's regular rider), Mike and Denise.

Red Somerset - Wins again

Red Somerset posted his 4th win of 2012 today. He justified favouritism in this grade with a comfortable win over Spam by 1 1/2 lengths. He was unfortunate last thursday at Kempton when he was last in the stalls and very slow out giving the front runner April Fool first run of the race and a 10 length start. We shall try and keep him to this grade on the All Weather tracks providing he has come out of the race ok.

Red Somerset a hat-trick of WINS

Red Somerset made it 3 wins on the bounce at Wolverhampton yesterday evening. He went off second favourite behind Dazzling Valentine as he was giving that rival 13lbs on BHA ratings. However, Red knows how to win and when he set sail for home in the straight he was always holding off the runner up. We will see how he is this morning before making plans for his next race.

Red Somerset - a Winner

Red Somerset was a comfortable winner of the seller at Lingfield today. He was given an excellent ride by Kieran O'Neil who knows the horse well. Although he was not drawn well Kieran was able to get some cover and bring the horse up the inside of the field and score well. Red is a 9yo so we will give him time to get over his exertions before looking for another race in similar company. The photo shows Kieran dismounting in the Winners Enclosure.

Ducal - a Winner

Ducal ran out a half length winner last night at Kempton. This was his first run after a break but he was sharp enough to win. He was always travelling well towards the rear and picked up down the straight under a confident ride from John Fahy. The photograph shows Ducal with his head in front on the line. We will see how he comes out of the race and then look for another race over 7f.
