American Hope 6th in the Britannia at Royal Ascot

American Hope came 6th in the Brittania Stakes at Royal Ascot on Thursday and while we were absolutely delighted with his run we were all left with a feeling of what might have been had he been drawn high rather than low. From his draw in stall eight American Hope went with the group on the far side with the main body of the field racing up the stand side. The pacemakers on the far side fell away leaving American hope in front at the 2f marker which was earlier than ideal as he could have done with a lead to inside the final furlong pole.
We are in no doubt he would have been in the frame had he been drawn high and we also feel he would have won the race. Still it was a great run and we are all thrilled with his performance. The photo shows Yankee, as he is known at home, walking out of the parade ring and onto the racetrack.

Angel Way 2nd at Salisbury

Angel Way ran an excellent
race at Salisbury last Sunday but unfortunately she came up against a well handicap horse in Extrasolar. She jumped from the stalls very well and lead for most of the race but this set it up for Extrasolar who won with a little bit in hand. She is entered for a race on Saturday night at Haydock and hopefully she can go one better.
The photo shows the horses just past the winning line at Salisbury.
