CONJURING - 3rd at Newmarket

Conjuring ran a fine race at Newmarket yesterday staying on in the final furlong to take 3rd spot on the line. She traveled well in the race but is still a bit green and got caught out by the undulations when the leaders quickened away from her . However, she picked up well when they met the rising ground and she fought well in the final furlong to overtake the two horses in front of her and grab a well deserved 3rd place. We were all thrilled for the horse as she has always given her best in her races and she is still learning.
The photos below shows Trixie (her stable name) returning to the Winner's Enclosure....

WINNER - Rio Ronaldo scores at Wolverhampton

Rio Ronaldo won his maiden on Thursday evening at Wolverhampton. Given a fine ride by Shane Kelly he confirmed the promise he had been showing at home. He was ideally drawn in stall 4 and having jumped well he sat behind the leaders. Not wanting to be caught on the rail, with the potential for the lead horses to fade and hinder his run, Shane took Ronaldo outside and turning for home he was the only winner. He idled a bit in front but this is the first time he had been in that position and hopefully he will know more in future.
He was named Ronaldo as he was the most expensive purchase made by the yard. As Ronaldo was not available and given the year of the World Cup he was named Rio Ronaldo!
He was bought knowing he was going to be better at 3 rather than 2 and so this is a bonus for connections. We believe he has lots of strengthening and maturing to do and hopefully more to come on the racetrack as he fills his frame.
The photographs show Rio winning and with connections in the Winner's Enclosure.

Conjuring a WINNER at Bath

Conjuring, ridden by Royston French, enjoyed a maiden win at Bath yesterday. She had matured mentally and physically for her first two runs and although still a little bit green she she showed a great attitude to get up in the final furlong. She is not the biggest filly in the world but she's definitely tough and genuine and hopefully she can go on from here.

Sheer Poetry 2nd at Kempton

Sheer Poetry ran her best race to date this evening at Kempton. Always close to the pace she chased the leader from 4f out but was never able to get to the winner. We were pleased with her run and we will look for similar races for her.
The photo shows her owners, Mario Bogatti and Stuart Moir, in the Winner's Enclosure with Sheer Poetry and her lass, Laura O'Hara.

Angel Way 2nd at Lingfield

Angel Way returned to form with an excellent 2nd at Lingfield last week. She jumped well from the stalls and led for the first four furlongs but couldn't repel the winner who won a shade cosily.
The photo shows her owner, David Ellis, and lad, Heidi, in the Winner's Enclosure.
