RIO RONALDO -WINS again at WINDSOR

Rio Ronaldo returned to the venue of his previous win and, despite the drop in trip to 5f, ran out a ready winner of the 3yo sprint handicap under jockey Pat Dobbs.
He jumped well from the stalls and tracked the leaders in the early stages. He was always travelling well and at the 2f pole he had the leaders in his sight. Fortunately a gap opened up on the rail and Rio Ronaldo was able to take advantage and win by half a length.
Rio Ronaldo is still a frame of a horse and we hope he will make up into a progressive 4 yo next year.

GOLDEN EMERALD- WINS at Newmarket

Golden Emerald broke his Maiden tag at Newmarket yesterday evening under a fine, front running ride, from Shane Kelly. The horse broke well and was immediately sent to the front and kept that position all the way to the line to win by a half a lenght from The Third Man and Sisyphus who dead-heated ffor second place.
We were delighted with Goldie's performance as he has been a late maturing horse (last night was his sixth run) and has needed time to come to himself. His owners have been very patient so it was a pleasing win for all and it was great for him to win at a Grade 1 track.
He needs a bit of cut in the ground so it was great ffor the us to see some rain fall yesterday evening which eased the going. Hopefully, as we enter the Autumn period, he will get the ground he likes and we will continue to campaign him over a distance of at least 10f.
