KODIAC EXPRESS 2nd at WINDSOR

Kodiac Express ran another excellent race at Windsor on Monday and, not for the first time, found one too good. She broke quickly and attempted to make all with those tactics looking the winning ones with half a furlong to go. However, she got a bit tired and the winner, who looked very well handicapped, asserted in the final 50 yards.
Kodiac Express has been running her best on every visit to the racetrack enabling her to pick up a Book 1 bonus last year. However, in handicap company she is vulnerable to the later maturing and/or better handicapped horse.

DESERT FOX 2nd at Windsor

Desert Fox ran a fine race in defeat at Windsor on Monday afternoon. He jumped very well from the stalls and, unusually, for an apprentice race they did not go quick leaving Foxy without cover. He tried to make all but he set it up for the winner who won a bit cosily but has been in great form for his yard.
With a wide margin to the third placed horse this was a good performance from Foxy and hopefully we can find him a winning opportunity.
The photo shows Foxy returning to the Winner's Enclosure with lad Hugo Meunier.
