YOUNG JOHN - 2nd at Leicester

Young John delighted us with his first run of the new season when going down by a head in a close fought battle at Leicester last Friday. YJ jumped well from the stalls and was always in the frontline. However, his exertions caught up with him in the final furlong and he went down by a head to Kupa River. He should come on for the run and appears to be in good heart this year. We will continue to look for further opportunities for him over a trip of 7f.

DUSTY DAMSEL - 3rd at Chelmsford City

We were delighted with Dusty Damsel's run at Chelmsford last week. The pace was not strong early on in the race which did not suit our filly. She settled once the pace picked up after a couple of furlongs and she was in a strong position turning for home. However, it turned into a bit of a Sprint and this did not play to her strengths. She is a big filly who will need a bit further in time but we were very pleased with her attitude and the way she battled all the way to the line.
She ought to improve for a step up in trip and as she matures. The photo below shows Rossa Ryan, Jockey, with part owner Nigel Cobby and lass Kristyna Dolinkova who rides her out daily at home.

KELLINGTON KITTY - 3rd at Chelmsford

Kellington Kitty ran a fine race in defeat at Chelmsford today. With a good draw in stall one she went forward but with plenty of pace in the race Rossa, her Jockey, took a pull and settled her in the box seat. She looked in a strong position turning for home but got tired in the final furlong as the track was riding a bit deep for her.
She got touched off for the second placed spot in the final 25 yards. However, we were pleased with her effort.
The photo shows Kitty with one of her owners, Tony Sullivan together with Jockey, Rossa Ryan and stable lass, Zoe Waters.
