Rio Ronaldo -3rd at Newmarket

Rio Ronaldo ran very well at Newmarket yesterday to achieve a 3rd placed and only beaten by a head and a nose. Rio Ronaldo jumped well from the stalls and travelled well in the race, just behind the pace. He looked as though he was coming with a winning chance but just stayed on up the hill. However, it was a much improved performance from his opening one of the season at Ascot and we were really pleased with his performance. The photograph below shows his lad, Hugo Meunier, in 3rd placed spot at the track.

Young John – 4th at Newmarket

Young John put his poor run at Chelmsford behind him with a battling performance at Newmarket on Friday. The undulation at the track did not suit him and it took him a while to get balanced when coming up the hill but he battled on achieved a good fourth position.

DESERT FOX Wins at Chelmsford City

Desert Fox returned to action after a long break to win first time out at Chelmsford City on Thursday night. He had a wide draw but with plenty of pace in the race he was able to settle in mid division. The pace was quick and turning for home his jockey, Rossa Ryan, was able to switch him right and he galloped on all the way down the home stretch and picked up the leaders in the final 50 yards. We were delighted with this first run of the year and hopefully you can go on from this.
