La Fortunata - a valiant 2nd - again!
We knew she would handle the track and drawn one off the rail she had
a great chance to get her head in front. However, Cape Royal had the
advantage of the rail which we believe was the single most important
factor and our filly could not get to the winner. She remains in good
heart, has come out of the race well and we will look for other races
over 5f.
The picture shows the delighted Patton family (from right to left: Jim, Carly, Esther and Pat) who bred and own the "pocket rocket" and Michelle who rides the filly has been part of the team responsible for her improvement this year.
