Valdaw recorded his 3rd win from 4 runs for us at Kempton last night. We were worried by the draw (which beat him last time out at Lingfield and denied him a hat-trick!) but fortunately there was decent pace in the race which allowed Valdaw to settle in behind the leaders. Eddie Ahern sent him to the front a furlong out and he managed to keep his head in front (a fast diminishing short head!).
When he arrived home last night the lads had half a dozen carrots waiting for him.
He is a real professional at home and justs gets on with his work with no fuss.
We will see how he comes out of the race and then decide where we go next with him.
