Kakatosi finally got his head in front following some good performances over the past two years where he came up against some progressive horses. Although slowly away it didn't matter as they went a bit quicker than ideal up front given the easier conditions following the rain. Having travelled well he maintained his gallop up the hill and the result didn't look in doubt from a furlong out. He really deserved the win as he tries on every occasion and doesn't get much leniency from the handicapper due to his consistency.
