Greensward won his second race in eight days and at the same track, Wolverhampton, last night. Greenie's style of racing coming from behind was not helped by his number one draw position. However, Shane Kelly rode an intelligent ride by waiting in behind and then bringing Greenie round horses on the final bend. It looked at that stage as though he was booked for second position but with the leader floundering on the rail Shane managed to get his head in front where it mattered, on the line!
We were thrilled with the way that Greenie stuck to the task all the way to the line and we will look for another race for him in 2 to 3 weeks time. The photo shows his owners, Bill and Christine Rogerson, Robert Cooper, Paul Arlotte, Linda Watts, Alan East,and his groom, Lois.
