La Fortunata - Another brave 2nd at Epsom

La Fortunata ran another outstanding race at Epsom today. Just three days after her Goodwood win the mare gave another gutsy display but failed by half a length to beat Swan Song. She has run at Epsom four times this year and on three occasions has come second. On the other occasion she was sixth in the Dash and again ran an outstanding race. She has a great attitude and while she is fit and well we will continue to look for opportunities for her.

La Fortunata a WINNER at Goodwood

La Fortunata ran an excellent race at Goodwood yesterday evening to record her first win of the season and the fifth of her career. She has been a bit unlucky this season twice coming second at Epsom and on both occasions getting beaten in the final 25 yards!
Yesterday everything went according to plan which is unusual in racing! We must give some praise to the jockey, Ryan Tate, who followed our instructions to the letter. We were impressed by the amount of homework he had done on the filly before riding her which is very pleasing to see and which helped keep the filly's head in front.
We have declared for Monday at at Epsom as she has come out of the race well. Unfortunately Ryan is banned and so we have Danny Brock on board who has won four of his last six races.

Angel Way WINS at Newmarket

Angel Way recorded her first win for us at Newmarket recently. Given a confident ride by Ryan Moore she got to the front after a couple of furlongs and, despite getting a little unbalanced down the hill, she stayed on strongly once meeting the rising ground and won well. She had been unlucky in two of her three previous races when coming up against improving horses with both going on to win their subsequent outings. However, she did not have the same improvers in her race and was well in by 3lbs on official ratings and she was entitled to win.

The photograph shows Heidi Cullinan, who rides the filly everyday and has done a great job with her home work, leading her back into the winner's enclosure. She is a big strong filly who is best at the minimum trip and we will probably go to Sandown with her on the 30th August.

Angel Way 2nd at Newbury

Angel Way put her best foot forward today at Newbury. Always travelling on the pace she ran very well and was just beaten in the final half furlong. She is a game fiilly and sprinting is her job.

Lutine Bell 3rd at Sandown

Lutine Bell came third recently at Sandown over a mile. It was the first time we had tried him over the distance but it was just a little too far.
