WHISPERED KISS WINS at Newmarket

Whispered Kiss recorded her third win of the year with a gutsy performance at Newmarket on Friday night. As she had been a bit keen over a mile at Windosr last time, and also had not handled the turn very well, we pulled her back a furlong and on a straight track. She jumped well and was gun-barrel straight up the track. They raced across the course and she didn't have much to race against but kept on all the way to the line to win by a short head.
This was her third win of the year and her first on turf. She has a great attitude and we were thrilled for her connections who also bred the filly. The photo below shows some of those connections (Bob, Tim and Jackie) together with Assistant Trainer, Michael Keady, and her regular rider, Kumbh Singh.

DELLA VALLE -2nd at Doncaster

Della Valle was another of our runners to run a great race in defeat this week. Following on from Kodiac Express who went down by 3/4L on Wednesday evening, Della Valle was beaten a neck at Doncaster last night and perhaps in another half furlong she might have got back up!
She was handy from the start of the race and when Favorite Girl went to the lead she got a nice toe into the race. However, the leader fell away quickly in the straight leaving Della in front at the 2f pole, sooner than might have been expected. She made her way home but Inflexiball, under a very strong drive from Luke Morriss, went past with half a furlong to go and hung on. However, Della was coming back at the winner in the last 25yards and the result might have been different if the race was another 50yards longer, but that's racing! Also, our filly could have done with ground a bit softer but it was a very good performance fron her and we were delighted with the result.

KODIAC EXPRESS -2nd at Bath

Kodiac Express ran extremely well in defeat at Bath on Wednesday evening. She half missed the break due to the starters being a bit slow to get the gates open. On the back foot from the off she had to settle at the back of the field and was a bit wider than ideal around the tight Bath track. However, she battled gamely all the way to the line but the winner had a better run towards the inside and held on comfortably and was worth a bit more than the official margin of three-quarters of a length.
We were thrilled with the performance of our filly who was very game with a head-carriage which showed she was determined to give her all. This was her best performance to date and it looks as though she will get 6f quite easily and possibly she may get 7f which would open up more opportunities for her.
