Rio Ronaldo wins at Salisbury

Rio Ronaldo finally got his head in front for the current season with a convincing win at Salisbury.
His Jockey, Andrea Atzeni, jumped well from the stalls and with a strong pace to aim at Rio Ronaldo always looked comfortable in the race. In the final furlong he readily asserted himself and won with his ears pricked. It was great to see Rio win for the fifth consecutive season but as with most of these sprinters everything needs to fall right and it did today. This was in stark contrast to Sandown where he was slowly away and there was no pace in the race but he still managed to finish a strong finishing fourth.

KODIAK EXPRESS WINS at Nottingham again

Kodiac Express recorded the 3rd win of her career with a gutsy performance at Nottingham last Monday. Once again she was quick out of the stalls and even though there was pace in the race none of the other jockeys wanted to get into a battle early on. Kodiac Express led throughout the contest and she fought off any challenges to her lead winning by a half length.
She has been an ultra consistent filly for the yard recording 3 wins, 7 second places and 2 third placed positions from her 17 career starts. She broke her maiden at Nottingham last October and made it 2 wins form 2 starts at the track.

Kodiac Express WINS at Windsor

Kodiac Express ran out a deserved winner of the 5f sprint handicap at Windosr last night. She is a very game filly who likes to jump and race and although in stall 9 she once again led the field. It looked at one stage as though she was going to be swallowed up in the final furlong but she doggedly stuck her head out and won by a half length.
She has been placed 2nd on four occassions this year, findng one horse too good for her in each of those races, and so we were thrilled to see her win.
