Discussiontofollow 6th in 32Red Stewards' Cup

DTF ran very well in the 32Red Stewards' Cup on Saturday to achieve a 6th position in one of the toughest 6f handicaps of the season. He had a good draw in stall 23 and Shane Kelly had him in the ideal position throughout the race. However, we was not able to deliver the turn of foot we know he has and on the day was beaten by a better horse. He was slightly impeded by the winner inside the final furlong but it did not affect the final result. It may be the race came slightly too quick for him as it was his third run in five weeks. We still retain our faith in the horse and hopefully he can continue to improve once he returns to action.
